Whats New....

Well, since my last post a lot has taken place....

THE GOOD NEWS:

Saw the Harry Potter film...it wasn't bad at all...sure, they left out a TON of info and left a few people in the theater that haven't read the books kind of confused but for what it was, it was good and I can't wait for the next film!!!

Still waiting on New Moon to come out but November is right around the corner!!! The previews I've seen are GREAT!!! so I'm sure it will be incredible!!!!

Today My good friend Angie Sconfienza went to Jantzen Beach Mall in OR and got Peter Facinelli's autograph for me!!!!! For those of you who don't know...He is Dr. Carlise Cullen in Twilight Saga movies...this is a huge deal to me!!! she will be emailing me video she took and some pictures too...I'll be waiting for the autographed picturein the mail!!!! i can't wait to get it all!!! She told me that she told him about my tattoos and he smiled at that and told her (since the picture of him is in character) that i need a check up! Don't you just love it?!!!! A Huge THANK YOU to Angie!!!!

Last night Todd gave me a great early Halloween gift! Ordered from QVC(1st time buyers) The 25th Anniversary Michael Jackson's Thriller CD and DVD with the video and the making of the video for 13.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to get this in the mail!!! they said it would be here around Oct!!!!!!!! I used to have the VHS of the video and the making of it but my Uncle Kevin was trying to fix my VCR once when I was about 6 and he used that tape of all tapes to test and see if it was working yet and what do you know....the VCR was not fixed but replaced and it ate my VHS of thriller!!! I was devastated!!!! but now I'll have it back!!! yay!!!!! THANKS TODD!!!


THE BAD NEWS:

On Aug 8th 2009...Todd had to call an ambulance for me because I was having a terrible asthma attack and suffering from a bad sinus infection! It was pretty scary!! When i got to the hospital they did all the normal stuff of breathing treatments, oxygen, x-rays etc...they chose to keep me for observation. They thought that I had diabetes too but I was told that I don't have it! thank goodness!! I've been home for a month from work on short term...that's been rough but I have very helpful and loving parents so we're not starving! Thanks Mom and DAD!!! I'm still waking up in the night with the need for my nebulizer but I'm slowly getting better. today I got to get out of the apt and get my monthly massage and walk the grocery store...believe it or not, I was pretty tired after that trip!!! but I've got to get up and start moving around!

I have seen my PCP a few times since my hospital visit....he had me see an allergy/asthma specialist....what I now know is that I'm allergic to everything in Florida!!!

All trees, grasses, weeds, dust mites and there poop, cockroaches and their poop, ALL animals with dander and fur including our guinea pig(highest allergy rating #4 on cat dog and guinea), fleas, and all molds.....Todd says I need to live in a bubble! The good news is that I'm not allergic to any foods, our Parakeet Max or Todd! LOL

I will see the PCP again Monday 31st. He will let me know what my return-to-work date is.

Long time....

It has been so long since I posted!!! So sorry about that....

So....Todd and I have been well....taking things one day at a time.

My mom bought Todd a guinea pig for his 36th birthday! We thought it was a girl, then a boy and now we've been told its a girl...so her name was Bella..then Tiberius....now its Sam. We figure no matter, Sam is unisex. LOL We love her very much!!!

We have both been working our usual 5 days a week. I'm finally getting my full paychecks again now that I'm truly back to work...we are both in good health (knock on wood!!!)....

The NEW MOON trailer was shown on MTV movie awards last night and it was AMAZING!!! Everything about it was perfect!!!! I can't wait until Nov 20th 2009!!!!

I jumped up and down like a teen last night...LOL

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in July 2009!!!!!! So excited!!! All of my favorite books are coming to life!!!!

Not much else really popping...

The Happs...

Well, I've been pretty sick for the last week. I only went to work last week once. Over the weekend I got a cold that Todd had. All week I fought a 101 temperature and a really bad cough. Sucked to be me....we both saw our Internal Doctor and were put on antibiotics that we both finished today. Todd is doing great now and I'm not far behind. I'm still fighting a cough though. I go back to work Monday.

I'm still enjoying my vampire books! A good book is always a great escape and I always enjoy going!!! : )

Follow up

March 8th I had my follow up appointment with my Doctor. I was advised that I have healed nicely and we can start trying again in approximately 4 months.

We aren't sure if we are ready to "try again" yet. This has been more emotional then we had thought. I'm still trying not to get upset when I see babies or pregnant women. We are taking things one day at a time. But we do talk about trying again.

The doctor said that miscarriage happens to 30-40% of pregnancies. And that the next time I should have a healthy pregnancy and baby. So we'll see.

I went back to work today...1st time since we were told we miscarried. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. More emotional than I thought it would be. When I got there I started to cry...not in front of any one....just an emotional outburst...no idea where it came from or why I cried. Then I calmed down and the rest of the day went fine...except for a few people that hadn't been told who asked how the baby was...and a few that wanted to say sorry to me...sometimes its overwhelming to talk about over and over again...I did my best.

I don't get back on the phones until tomorrow...so all in all it was a relaxing day. I do wish I had one more day to adjust...but maybe it will be good to just jump in.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!! Then at least I'll have the weekend to relax no matter how tomorrow goes.....

I found out that the next book to a series I've been reading called Evernight (vampires of course) isn't coming out until spring 2010!!! I can't wait!!! Seems like forever!!! But I'll live.....I'm currently reading the Vampire Diaries...its a lot of fun to get lost in and since Todd will have friends over to watch Golf on the flat screen this weekend...reading is what I'll be doing. ; )

Healing...

I have been feeling some pain since the DNC so my Dr has put me on antibiotics and short term disability through April 8th....then its back to work and life!

I have also found a support group and the first meeting is April 22nd. As much as I try to tell myself, I'm not over this by a long shot. I do try the most to keep a positive outlook...but its really really hard....

Todd has been wonderful! Very supportive and comforting...he keeps reminding me of his vows.."in sickness and in health" he says...followed by how much he loves me. I couldn't ask for more in a husband....as corny as that sounds..lol...its totally true!

Once I'm back in the real world with the rest of you...I'll have something to post again...stay tuned...

We Are Sad To Announce...

Family & Friends,

We are very sad to announce that we are no longer pregnant. We went to our 2nd ultrasound yesterday 03/25/2009 with hopes of seeing the baby and heartbeat. There was nothing to see but the embryonic sack. The technician had us go to Dr. Miller's office and wait for her. When she came in she explained that what I was experiencing is called a missed miscarriage. The pregnancy, pregnancy tests and all of the symptoms were real but only the sack had developed and the baby had not. She immediately scheduled for us to have a DNC at the hospital for this morning. A DNC is basically removing the miscarriage while I was under anesthetic. The procedure went well and I go in for a follow up with Dr. Miller in 2 weeks.

This has been a very emotional time for both of us. Its just come as such a shock. One minute you're in the waiting room of the Dr's office excited and ready to see the baby on screen and the next you're being told there is no baby. Emotional is an understatement. We know this isn't the end by any means. It just hurts a lot. After our follow up appointment we should know if and or when we can try again. Dr. Miller is having tests done on the miscarriage to make sure that there are no chromosome issues between us that is causing the fetus to not develop. Of course, we hope for the best.

Baby Deem's 1st Ultrasound!!! It's a DOT!!!

We had our 1st ultrasound today!!! We found out that we're not as far along as we thought. I thought based on what was told to us on our 1st visit that we were 6 or 7 weeks today...but according to the "dot" that is the baby on the ultrasound picture...we are only just entering our 5th week!!! So my due date has been changed to 11/11/2009....this could change again since they have me coming back on 03/25/2009 for another ultrasound...they said:

"We need to let baby grow, then we'll be able to look for a heartbeat and a better idea of how far you are."

On top of all of this wonderful news...I mean...we have a dot!!! I'm also feeling terrible...morning/noon/night sickness continues...I haven't kept anything down all day!!!
But its ok..and all worth it...I was a little disappointed that I am not as far as I thought only because I thought I was closer to beginning my 2nd trimester and the sickness would be ending soon...then I could really start "enjoying" this pregnancy! I am really looking forward to that!!

We Have 2 Lines!!!

On Feb 27th 2009 at 1:40pm I got the positive results of a pregnancy test! I was shocked, excited, happy and scared to death! The first person I told was my Mother, Pat. She screamed and cried on the phone and forced me to call everyone we know on 3 way. : ) My poor Husband, Todd was the 10th person to know! When I told him, he was so happy i could hardly understand what he was saying on the phone. He then ran around work telling everyone he knew that I was pregnant and came straight home. Lol : )

Our 1st Dr's appointment was 03/04/2009....I was overwhelmed with all of the information that we were given. Everything from how many times we would come in between now and when baby is born to what I can and can't eat! They had me take another pregnancy test to see for themselves. We were told we were 5 weeks 1 day pregnant and due November 4th! I had a full examination that went well and gave at least 4 tubes of blood! They gave us our 1st diaper bag (black, and very cute) filled with even more reading material. But the best thing i got were my prenatal vitamins. They are chewable and taste like Mix Berries! I was so worried about having to swallow a pill the size of a thumb! Lol : )

Since our appointment, I've had off and on, morning/noon/night sickness, insomnia and sometimes sleeping longer than ever before...there is more, but I'll spare you some of the details. : )

Mostly, I'm just trying to grasp the fact that this is really happening! Its exciting and overwhelming and just amazing all at once!

Our next appointment is 03/11/2009...we'll be having our 1st ultrasound. Dr. Miller would like to make sure that baby is where baby is supposed to be and developing normally. Also we may have a different due date depending on what she sees in there.
